A Thalassemia Awareness Seminar was organized by the Regional Coordinator, PTGD Regional Center Sargodha) at The University of Lahore, Sargodha Campus for creating awareness among the faculty and final year students.
Objective:
The objective of this seminar was to give awareness to the faculty, staff and students of university about the importance of International Thalassemia Day (8th May) and free of cost services of PTGD and its Regional Center Sargodha.

Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Campus Director & Mr. Muneeb Rahmat welcomed the Chief Guest Flight Lieutenant (R) Mr. Imran Qureshi, Deputy Commissioner Sargodha. Dr. Asad (Faculty Member) hosted the Seminar. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad welcomed the participants and appreciated Regional Coordinator PTGD Sargodha for organizing the Seminar. Dr. Khawaja Arshad briefed about Thalassemia, Signs and Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment. Dr. Misbah told about pre-natal Diagnosis. Dr. Saira discussed importance of Carrier Screening. Mr. Muneeb Rahmat gave presentation about PTGD and its Regional Center Sargodha. The Chief Guest Flight Lieutenant (R) Mr. Imran Qureshi, DC Sargodha addressed the participants and appreciated the PTGD Regional Center and The University of Lahore Sargodha Campus for organizing the seminar on national cause. He also appraised the services of PTGD and its Regional Center Sargodha and motivated the students for getting their Thalassemia Tests from PTGD Regional Center Sargodha. Lastly, Souvenirs were also given to the Guest Speakers and the Chief Guest.
