Regional Offices & Labs
PTGD has nine regional offices all over Punjab including head office in Lahore:
- Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore
- Nishtar Hospital, Multan
- Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur
- Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi
- Government General Hospital Gulam Muhammadabad, Faisalabad
- Government Teaching Hospital D.G. Khan
- Sahiwal Medical College Sahiwal
- DHQ Teaching Hospital Sargodha
- DHQ Teaching Hospital Gujranwala
Districts
All 36 districts of Punjab are attached to these regional centers depending upon their geographical location. Mobile Field Officers of PTGD are based at district level and tertiary care hospitals to provide thalassaemia screening services to people at their doorsteps. PTGD has also established the first DNA Lab at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore, which is the first public sector health institution in the country providing free thalassaemia prevention services. PTGD is currently providing services for thalassaemia. However, these services shall be rolled out for various other genetic conditions as well. For more information, contact us on 042-99202644-46.
