OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT:
This event aims to raise awareness about Thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder, and support patients and families affected by it. We have planned a series of activities, including lectures, panel discussions, and awareness campaigns, to educate the public and medical professionals about the importance of early diagnosis especially how to prevent our society from Thalassaemia.
TYPE OF PARTICIPANTS (Attendees):
Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Thalassemia Families, young generation of both sexes, Blood donation Society, Hospital administration Officials & PTGD Staff participated in this event.
PROCEEDINGS:
The event was started with the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat Sharif by volunteers. There were present the important members of society, Doctors, Nurses, Thalassemia families, Medical, Paramedical Students, Schoolers and officials in the conference hall (Gynae). The main focus of Seminar was awareness about Thalassemia disease and its prevention in coming time by the speakers. Major& main components about thalassaemia & its Prevention were described thoroughly to participants.
In the end of this activity, Blood pints and gifts were distributed among thalassemia patients in Conference Hall Gynae & Obs Department. Questions Answers session was conducted where the speakers answer the Media queries. Awareness Broachers were also distributed among the participants. Activity ended with the vote of thanks to all
Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Asif Qureshi appraised the efforts made by PTGD officials for this noble cause and he assured his full cooperation and networking in coming time too.
