Short Summary:
A seminar and a Walk was organized by PTGD Sahiwal Region on 8th November national Thalassaemia Prevention Day 2025 in collaboration of Peads , Gynae and Pathology Deptt. of Sahiwal Medical College Sahiwal at Sahiwal Medical College Sahiwal to create among the health professionals including Faculty Members, Professors, Doctors, PGs, Nurses, Students of Nursing College, Students of MBBS, community. A walk to strength the message of PTGD to community o national Thalassaemia Day 8th Nov 2025. The Presenter emphasis on importance of this preventive program and its role to reduce the burden of Thalassaemia major in Pakistan. Director General PTGD Dr. Yasmeen Ehsan told about the services of PTGD and its availability at District, Divisional and Provincial level. Ambassador of Thalassemic Children Mr. M. Salaar Sohail requested the student and society to take the attention towards this serious matter and perform their role to reduce this burden from Pakistan. At the end Chief Guest, Guest of Honor emphasis on screening before marriage and recognize your social responsibility so that we can make Pakistan Thalassaemia Major Free Pakistan. At the end a screening camp which was arranged by PTGD Sahiwal regional office was inaugurated by Chief Gust with Guest of honors to provides the screening opportunity to the students of Sahiwal Medical College to fulfill their responsibility to pave the pace to make Thalassaemia Major Free Pakistan.
