Event Details:
In sequence of 8th November National Thalassemia Awareness Day PTGD and RI Rawalpindi Region has organized Thalassemia awareness desk and Premarital Screening Camp. The purpose of the event was to sensitize IIUI students about the Beta thalassemia Major disease prevalence and its prevention measures.
The Event was organized in collaboration of Jamia Sultana Foundation Islamabad. The total 80 blood samples of students were collected for testing of Thalassemia and other Genetic Disorders.
HOD of the IIUI Pharmacy Department Dr. Sophia Awais has distributed the Shields and admired the efforts of PTGD and RI to Prevent Thalassemia Disease among the public and students.
